Beyond Nuremberg: The Camera as Witness presents works by Evgeny Khaldei (1917–1997), a major figure in twentieth-century photojournalism.

Focusing on Europe in 1945–46, the exhibition turns to a world suspended between the end of the Second World War and its aftermath: Vienna in the days of liberation, Berlin and Budapest marked by war, and the courtroom of the Nuremberg Trials, where photography itself entered the space of evidence.

Khaldei’s images are not only records of events, but encounters with the people and places through which history became visible. Drawn from the Collection of Vadim Levin, the works invite a closer look at photography as witness, archive, and living memory.
